My notebooks

I’ve been thinking about doing this post for a long time now, notebooks are quite personal to me however I wanted to talk about them.

Notebooks Moleskines

As you can see, I’ve a lot of them and a lot of them are moleskines.

So let’s begin, shall we?

The two lovely notebooks from Paperblanks were gift from Antonin’s mom. They are absolutely delightful, I use them for to-do lists. The paper is really thick and I love the fact that the cover is magnetized (it doesn’t make any sense, sorry). The ‘Lovely Notes’ behind were gift from friends for my 20th birthday ! I adore them ! One is for keeping tracks of my bills etc, an other is for recipes, an other is for planning my holidays etc, and the last one is still empty..

This one I bought for one euro at Gibert Jeune. I mainly bought it because I fell in love with the cute cover and because it was so cheap. I use it as a “music” notebook : I list albums I love, new discoveries and stuff. I also reviews records in it.. Maybe in ten years I’ll read it and think ‘oh lord how could I love this song before ?’ or stuff like that.

Two Moleskines. One is an old agenda, the other one is a diary, don’t have much to tell about them, except that everytime you open them you can clearly smell my perfume (Coco Mademoiselle) .. I don’t know why though.

Moleskines, again. These are the ones I carry all the time with me.
1- Lists of all my clients, I use it when I’m having meetings with them to write down useful details.
2- Quotes I like from tv shows, films, books, songs etc.
3- A list of all the nice shops, restaurants, salon de thé, etc I like in Paris.
4- My last acquisition, new diary. Lately I wrote down a lot of ideas I had for the blog.. 🙂
5- I couldn’t properly describe this one, you only thing you need to know is that what you can find in it : tickets, drawings, thoughts, books I want to read, films I want to watch.. mainly lists in fact.

Sorry if it was boring !
xx

  1. I love this post! I have two small Moleskines in my handbag at any given time, one being a page a day diary and the other (both soft covered) ruled notebook for meeting notes , to do lists etc.

  2. LOVE THIS! I also carry my Moleskine diary everywhere with me. It’s a one page a week with a page of notes on the side which I use to write my to do lists for that week. I also always have a plain Moleskine ruled notebook for notes, photo shoot credits and other fun things an intern has to keep track of.

  3. Ah je vois que je ne suis pas la seule mono-maniaque du notebook, ça me rassure. Par contre j’ai du mal à leur assigner à chacun un contenu. Je le fais au départ, puis vite ils deviennent tous un fourre-tout.

  4. Great post! I’m jealous that you have me beat in terms of sheer volume of notebooks, I have two diaries, a blog notebook and 4 for university. I think I may have to add a few more to my collection!

  5. Wow. J’admire le fait que chacun de tes carnets est une utilité. J’en ai des milliards aussi sauf que je n’arrive jamais à leur donner une fonction précise et du coup ça fini en gros n’importe quoi. Et tes Moleskines sont tellement beau… <3

  6. You know, it’s so ‘funny’ you posted this- a couple of days ago I was just thinking how I feel like I’m a notebook/notepad hoarder! I have too many, and each are special on their own too 🙂
Such a lovely post and so great to see moleskine/notepad lovers. Lists are awesome.

  7. I LOVE moleskine notebooks. I have a planner, a mini-notebook, and a large notebook. Between the three of them, I use them for everything. I need to have a book that I start using for quotes and short snippets of thoughts…

  8. I love this post! Not boring AT ALL, in fact I think it’s really interesting.

I have tons of notebooks too, and a bit of an addiction really. Just like you, I have different notebooks for different purposes. Mostly moleskines, but a few others too.

And you take really pretty images, which makes reading your blog such a pleasure <3

  9. I love seeing other people’s notebooks! I’m a notebook freak myself and I always enjoy a new one even though I always have at least 2 empty ones, waiting to be used. The music notebook’s cover is absolutely adorable, besides the timeless Moleskines, that one has to be my favorite. Maybe I will do a notebook post too, seems like a great idea. xx

  10. I have the “lovely Notes” notebooks too!
And as a designer, I have minimum one notebook everytime with me. I have so so many notebooks and I still do not know, if I should keep all…
At the moment I am using one, I have bought at Musée Art Decorative in Paris, one of my favourite book shops.
    xx

  11. Actually I loved this post, I didn’t think it was boring at all, and I thought I was crazy about keeping notebooks, I think it’s nice to look back and see how you used to think or what were your interests…notebooks are a way of perserving your thoughs….thanks for sharing

  12. I love that you have so many lists and notebooks! I’m a total list maker and the moleskins are great for that. I’m constantly editing them. I love the “teuxdeux” iphone app for this too, but it’s digital, not the same as a fresh, new notebook! thanks for sharing!

  13. I absolutely agree that this was a lovely post! I’m an art student/general creative person and I love having a variety of notebooks/sketchbooks to jot down anything from ideas or a response to inspiration. I’m also a lover of doodles. <3

It would be nice to see more pages? If that isn't too personal, of course. I love lists and I think they tell a lot about a person in such an interesting way.

  14. Maybe you can smell perfume because your wrist is against the paper when you write? If you spritz perfume on your wrists that is. I love carrying around notebooks, but I love the variety of the contents of yours. It speaks to a very creative mind I think!

  15. So, I’m not the only one who’s crazy about notebooks? What a relief! I also have plenty of notebooks, I think it is good to have one for each purpose – it’s more organized! Loved the post and your blog too!

  16. […] I often get more inspired with messy desks than clean ones, that must tell you something about me, right? Ahah. I like to see pictures and drawings pinned to the walls, tiny plants and books everywhere, but also,  notebooks since you know I do have an extensive collection. […]
