Charlotte Carpenter kindly sent me her new EP, In The Night, via email so I could make an article about it.
I discovered Charlotte a few weeks ago on youtube with her song “Love Songs”, it was love at first sight. I loved it and listened to it over and over, so it was with great pleasure that I pressed play on the first song of her new EP.

It is everything I needed. Charlotte succeeded where others didn’t, I needed comfort and she gave it to me. My favourite song is certainly Blame It On Anything, it’s calm and peaceful; her voice is quite soft and dreamy, I love it. She’s sharing so much with us, I feel like it’s a very personal EP, which is good.

It’s been so long since I fell in love that much with an album. Thank you Charlotte, from the bottom of my heart, for making me forget all my troubles and sorrow, and also for making me dream and letting me in into your world.

Sophie Dahl x Brora

After modelling for Aubin & Wills, Sophie gave birth to her second child with her husband Jamie Cullum and now she’s about to launch her capsule collection for Brora, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the British Brand.

First thing I said when I saw the pictures was : WOW. She’s stunning in the pictures, but the clothes are even more gorgeous. I love every pieces, especially the Tea Dress and the English Rose Dress.

I imagined it as the-morning-after-the night-before – a woman on an island after a party, walking home with her shoes in her hands, everything around her quite wild and undone, but she’s wearing these quintessentially British-feeling colour tones and patterns. The picture in my head was one of rainy English summers and festivals, being tarted-up and having your make-up running everywhere – that kind of vibe.

A few weeks ago I went to the atlantic side, the weather was marvellous (well it was a bit windy but it was still a nice change from the snow we were having back in Paris!).

Going to the ocean is a big deal for me, it calms me down. The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks, the seagulls flying over my head, the warm sand, everything about the ocean is special to me. I feel peaceful, as if nothing could bring me down. I hope my pictures show that feeling.

I even made a video, I put in after the pictures if you wanna see more :-).
